With the prospect of an impeachment trial that can have her out of office next May, Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff appealed for international support on Friday during a visit to New York, broadcasting her claims that the campaign to oust her from office was little more than a coup d’état. Using the term “coup” to describe a drawn-out legislative process is pure hysterical sudaca theatre. Rousseff has set the image of Brazil back about 50 years.

Sudaca: Sort of the same sentiment as when argies refer to chilenos as “chilotes” or Colombians as “Colombiches” or Bolivians as “cholivianos” or similar.

It [sudaca ] was popular when I lived in Spain, to describe South American music. Now it's usually fairly negative but it depends on the context, just as in Chilito you can call your compa a huevón and it's a term of endearment.

YB was mildly entertaining during the CFK/ Kicilarff reign - his commentary on defaulting and the politics of populism were interesting at times. One always looked forward to some insight on the default.

However, now that CFK is gone and the Arg, gov. has largely turned away from their old ways, he is just a Troll without a cause.

After years of “red-baiting”, YB became irrelevant overnight.

Now he's looking for new foes.

It's a bit sad, actually.

Funny that Think and voice seem at a loss for a purpose, also.

It's like the end of the Cold War - all the subs are rusting at their moorings in Vladivostok.
