Brazilians want fresh elections; only 8% support a government headed by Temer

A poll released on Monday showed Brazilians overwhelmingly favored the hypothetical resignation of both President Dilma Rousseff and her vice-president Michel Temer, followed by new presidential elections. Just over 60% of respondents said that scenario would be the best way out of the crisis, although no such solution is stipulated under Brazil’s Constitution. Read full article

    Considering all the crap they squeezed into this constitution, you would have thought they would have foreseen a bad government that needed early elections..... after all, they'd been ruled by the military and yet still seemed to give so much power to a single role in their government.

    Before the Military handed power back to the civilians in 1985, they warned the people that it would be just a matter of time before the civilians screwed up again. Their warning was so accurate, it could well have been made yesterday...... and it is pretty clear that they have always understood the mindset of the politicians and their lack of ethics far better than the people ever did.
