Amnesty International said on Wednesday that residents of Olympic host Rio de Janeiro's slum favelas are “living in terror” after 11 people were killed in police shootings in the past month. The rights group said at least 307 people were killed by police in the city last year and called on Brazilian authorities to take action in the 100 days ahead of the start of the Rio Games on August 5. AI as usual, only divulges one side of the story, Conveniently omits the number of policemen assassinated in cold blood while off duty, or killed while on the job, not to mention that if organized crime hadn't got such a firm grip on the city, there would be no need for armed confrontation between the police and the criminals. The slum dwellers, whether they like it or not, by keeping their mouths shut and giving cover to the criminals, deserve what they get.

The Rio Olympics has every ingredient to make the daily headlines, unfortunately not all good. And if the fat cow is impeached and forced to step aside for 180 days , she will no doubt , in the typical manner of the PT, blame the Temer govt for the fiasco....If I were a foreign tourist I wouldn't go near the stinking place.
Just hope that the population remembers that it was the LullaRat who forced the issue (through bribing officials) in order that Brazil could host both the World Football Cup and the Olympics (and that the PT could pocket a few million dollars).

The sea at the Olympic venues is infested with life threatening pathogens, raw sewage is being pumped directly into where the athletes will be expected to compete.
