May 05th, 2016 - 11:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0There is an interesting parallel off the coast of Canada. Two islands ( on the “Canadian continental shelf”, St Pierre and Miquelon hold French sovereignty, yet they are only a stone's throw across the water from our Maritimes provinces in the East.
As far as I know, we have not tried to invade them or claim them at the C24
