The Leave victory in UK and its impact on the Falklands and Argentina's ongoing claim over the Islands was addressed by Argentine academics and diplomats. Probably the man with most experience and knowledge in the trilateral relation between London, Buenos Aires and the Falklands is former Deputy foreign minister Andres Cisneros, who worked next to Guido Di Tella. Argieland is NEVER going to have ANY chance of advancing its illegitimate claim unless the Islanders suddenly take leave of their senses.

Perhaps argieland doesn't understand that the Islanders can see everything that goes on over there. As time goes by, it's clear that Malcorra is a stupid as Timerman was. Imagine talking about the Islanders as though they are unimportant or don't exist.

“ Argentine academics” ? ha ha ha ha ha

The defence of the Falklands against Argentine aggression has never been stronger. Nor has the civilised world's regard for Argentina ever been lower.

”Even inside the UK, we know there are different positions, I mean Scotland, Wales and Ireland, regarding Malvinas“.

He doesn't have a clue! This is just nonsense!

Danny Boy - do please find us the stements from the Scvottish- Welsh or Northern Irish Assemblies that say this?

    Come on - LIST them.

How come?Britain is weaker? It still has and will have all its armed forces - and NATO is a lot lot older that the EU!

Oh and I think that you will find that in international law thinking - 2065 was cancelled out by events of April 1982 and Argentina,s total refusal to obey UN Security Council Res 504 - which has far far more UN WEIGHT than a mere GA resolution.

But then you like your old Boss Chrissy - always have lived in Fantasyland.

Surely the UK's Position is stronger as they will retain their SC veto rather than surrender it to Europe in the future.

Its the guarding of the Islanders and their future which primarily concerns the UK.
Fears what might happen to them and their way of life.
And Europe? Only a very uneducated person would believe that Europe can do without good relations or trading with the UK. Bad feelings exist, but reality will show eventually.

“ Even inside the UK, we know there are different positions, I mean Scotland, Wales and Ireland, regarding Malvinas“.”

Yes, people from all these nations were killed by Argentines in 1982. I know a guy born in Eire that fought against Argentina in 1982, perhaps there were more. That's not going to be brushed under the carpet.

Thanks for the fact that Filmscum doesn't know what the ICJ is.

He seems to forgotten about the support the Falkland Islanders have from the Commonwealth.

“All multilateral organizations, all blocks around the world support the Argentine position regarding Malvinas, based on UN General Assembly resolution 2065.”

    Pissed again Filmus?

    claim not enhanced by Brexit,

perhaps because , now, we are not chained by EU rules and regulations,

    hopefully our defence will grow,
we will no longer be weak,

but if Argentina or Spain want to ????

then the consequences will be their problem.

But we do ignore you as regards the sovereignty non issue, for us it is not an issue, you are just an irritation nothing more, we have far more important matters to attend to, so negociations are not on the table.

This is truly desperate, mouth foaming rants from the RG's. This referendum result will have absolutely no bearing on the relationship between the Islanders and the UK. It will have no impact on pertinent international law.
What it shows is the crass duplicity of the Argentine political class into believing the rest of Europe will not respect the democratic right of a nation to decide it's own future. The attempt to find some kind of difference between the component nations of the UK shows a complete lack of understanding of how mature democracy works. My advice to Filmus is do not underestimate the commitment to international law its process, observance and jurisprudence these nations have. Again they are showing that most Argentinian of traits, judging others by their own standards.
All they are showing here is that they cannot be trusted ,should not be trusted and will not be trusted .

    How do you recognise cowards,

they are the ones who try to attack you when you are considered weak or in a muddle, or a right mess like we are at the moment,

but all will turn out ok,

And the cowards like Spain and Argentina will find themselves humiliated and will get nothing.
