Uruguay ratified on Thursday its willingness to transfer the Mercosur presidency to Venezuela despite objections from the other members, Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. In a brief statement in its official site, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Uruguay, currently holding the Mercosur pro tempore chair reiterates its position to proceed to transfer the presidency, in abidance with what is established by the current Mercosur rules. Disclaimer & comment rulesOh Ninny, you ARE a ninny as is Vasquez who thought this presidency' would be a walk in the park despite the fact that 'No Money Pepe' gave all the money away to the stinking poor and other ridiculous projects including the weed farm which is still to actually supply weed to the pharmacies.
Jul 08th, 2016 - 10:23 am - Link - Report abuse 0So, is it 'No Money Vasquez' now? I think it is.
It is always a mistake for an expatriate to criticise his hosts so aggressively - you could end up being expelled!

Jul 09th, 2016 - 11:40 am - Link - Report abuse 0I see you are fulfilling the requirement to be a super delusionist for the RCC in that you IQ is falling with each post you make.
Just to recap on the FACTS, not fairy tales that you and your girlfriend, The Cracken, make up about me:
1) I am in my sixth year here and a legal resident;
2) I pay all the taxes that are levied on me;
3) When I renew my Cedula (ID card to you) early in the new year I have been advised that I will be asked if I (and my wife) want an Uruguayan Passport;
4) We have invested a considerable amount of money in the government bank.
Perhaps you are confused with all the other countries in SA who cannot stand FACTUAL posts, thankfully Uruguay has never been one, even under the rule of the murdering commie bastards known throughout the country as The Broad Fraud.
BTW, you claim to have been on MP since 2010.
I wasted 5 minutes of my life on the MP search engine for 2010 and cannot find any reference to your tag. So, I could have made a search error (not likely), you have changed your tag (?), you are mistaken (?) or you are LYING.
A believer such as yourself would have no problem with that as it just follows in the well trodden path of your 'holy fathers' who lie for a living. There is no evidence of a god, therefor there is NO god.
What a pathetic old f--t you are! Delusionist of the first order. i am sure even Uruguay and its people would not find your criticism to be acceptable. Still, you go your way!
Jul 09th, 2016 - 01:53 pm - Link - Report abuse 0By the way I received my first cédula (note correct spelling¡) when I was 22 years old. Also by the way, who is the Cracken?
Your post is totally confusing! But then at your age confusion is to be expected.
Just try and get your thoughts in order! By the way, none of your three assumptions are correct. By the way LYING is a venal sin which a Catholic is required to confess!
Mercosur presidency to Venezuela? That's a good one! What's the next joke?

So raping children and lying about it is what? Good for the RCC?
Refusing Zika infected mothers during pregnancy an abortion is what? Good for growing despair in the 'flock'.
I hope you manage the 9th circle when you croak, you deserve it supporting the argie moron and the despicable 'religion'..

Jul 11th, 2016 - 05:42 am - Link - Report abuse 0What on earth is the 9th circle? Another of your misinformed ideas about the Catholicism?
I think that as you seem to recall details of my past postings you MUST be aware that I have condemned the present Pope for his past support of the Argentine false claim to sovereignty of the Falkland Islands.
Also I condemn him for this the contents of this link which, in my opinion, is a clear reference to the Falkland Islands.

For all you bluster you are not very well educated, are you?
Try reading 'The Divine Comedy'.
As you believe in an existence after death you must also take hell with the 'package' of RCC bollocks. It's been years since I last read Dante's masterpiece from the 14th Century but it will be contemporary reading for you.
It's where the naughty dead RCCunts have to go to be 'punished' and punished they are in a spectacular fashion. You will be able to catch up with all the child rapists and embezzlers of the RCC coffers as well as most of the previous 'holy fathers' (such an oxymoron): you will no doubt feel at home.
@8 ChrisR
Jul 11th, 2016 - 11:19 am - Link - Report abuse 0What a ridiculous statement! What has reading The Divine Comedy got to do with a comparison of my education with your education? The fact that I haven't read it is not valid - it just shows that you have read the poem and I haven't, you nerd!
The 9th circle is part of the narrative in a poem of the pre-Reformation 14th century when the concepts of Heaven and Hell and religion were totally different from today. If you base your atheism on the contents of work of fiction written 700 years ago then so be it. Pathetic!

Jul 11th, 2016 - 12:59 pm - Link - Report abuse 0BUT, and there's always a BUT, the RCC are still based in the Dark Ages, you just cannot see it.
A lot of Spanish talking LatAms still believe in heaven and hell as do you if you think as you must by believing the RCC nonsense.
Isn't life after death in heaven if you have said all the hail Mary's, had the last rites and all the other crap? Or what do you call it?
@9 You are wasting your time on ChrisR. You had it right when you called him a pathetic old fart. He is bitter, angry, frustrated and condemned to a life of impotence. He has no respect for anyone or anything. His utterly pointless life is the reason he spends so much time trying to convince everyone he is a 'somebody'. He is a nobody.
Jul 11th, 2016 - 01:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0BTW his obsession with the RCC and child rape should be big clues to why he has such an issue. He is too narrow-minded to understand that painting all Catholics with the same brush is pure ignorance and lack of intellect. Just as he is prejudiced against…just about anyone and everyone who doesn't hold the same bigoted views as him. Fortunately his guns were taken off him in the U.K. and he had to leave the country. Good for us and a crying shame for Uruguay.

Jul 11th, 2016 - 03:15 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Thank you for your comments. You are quire right - I AM wasting my time on ChrisR and I concur with all your comments.
However, I do enjoy taunting him - his reactions show him to be a damaged old bigot who deserves everything he gets. Maybe he is just SO out of place in Uruguay that he has to resort to the expression of his odd comments and opinions in these columns.
May the good Lord bless him and keep him!

As usual you have not bothered to read for yourself the facts about this despicable 'religion' and the abuse of children, rape, buggery and physical violence over all the world but especially in the Americas (N&S).
BUT, of course, you have already made YOUR mind up without them. So nothing changes, does it? Try educating yourself for once.
You are without doubt an embittered feminist, certainly not up to being a real woman, and destined to grow old without any partner (male or female) or children.
As for your boyfriend he is just another one helping the despicable RCC to keep going, delusional to the end. That of course will be the final disappointment - but he won't know, he'll be dead and gone like all of us.
You really do deserve one another.
@12 Yes, he is like one of Pavlov's dogs. Highly amusing.
Jul 11th, 2016 - 06:17 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@13 You have the mentality of an eight year old with your stupid 'he's your boyfriend' taunts, name calling and gang mentality. No wonder they took your guns away from you. You are not competent to own them.

This statement is, of course, nonsense. I acknowledge that, sadly, there have been far too many incidences of child abuse and other sexual assaults by priests of the RC Church but so there have been similar incidents within other Christian groups and, who knows, in other religions such as Islam and Buddism.
However, and very important for you to bear in mind, (if you have one!) is the fact that sexual misbehaviour is not confined to the clergy of the Christian faith and other religions. Sexual misbehaviour, such as incest and the abuse of children is, sadly, far more prevalent in general society throughout the world than it is in the religious world. So your prejudices should be directed at all those men and women worldwide who abuse youngsters NOT just at the RCC.
So just hang your head in shame and, if you have any decency at all, acknowledge that you are grossly misinformed.
@15 You make a good point. Why does ChrisR have such narrow prejudices. I have never heard him speak out about FGM but give him an opportunity to talk about buggering small boys and he is there shouting about the RCC, as if they are the only perpetrators of such heinous behaviour. IF ChrisR really had read up on the subject of child and women abuse he would know that.
Jul 11th, 2016 - 07:59 pm - Link - Report abuse 0For ChrisR: Feminism = equal opportunity. That is all. Nothing to be afraid of. Try educating yourself about it.
@16 ElaineB
Jul 12th, 2016 - 08:02 am - Link - Report abuse 0ChrisR boasted in his No 3 above about his status in Uruguay.
Surely, an expatriate in most countries would be totally unacceptable for extension to residence status or, indeed, achieve naturalisation were he/she to be so openly critical of many circumstances in his/her host country as this individual is. Not only is it plain bad manners but it questions his/her loyalty to the host nation.
I have spent long periods as an expatriate in 4 Latin American countries, in the USA and in Spain and one of the first pieces of advice I was given was when in Rome do as the Romans do! In other words, be unobtrusive! I wonder if ChrisR is just as offensive in the person or just here in Mercopress?
