What do you expect a criminal named Francisco, has to be a Spanish or Italian, true to form Eh. All thieves and pirates.

@1 Your generalisation i.e. all Spaniards and/or Italians are thieves and pirates is a racial slur.

In the UK you could be indicted for a racial offence - you stupid fool!

There is something odd about this story. Even though the ship is owned by a Spanish (Canary Islands) company, it was chartered by Sulivan Shipping when it was reportedly in violation. Isn't this the same Sulivan Shipping that is a FI company? That has had a significant presence in the Falklands?

@3 racial slur? Is “ Italian” a race? Perhaps in the eyes of the EU. Not even sure why “Italian” is an issue here.

“Isn't this the same Sulivan Shipping that is a FI company? ”

Yes it is the same Sulivan shipping. Nothing odd about it, just shows that the Falklands has a legal system that treats everyone the same - local companies have to obey the same laws as everyone else, and will be subject to the same legal process if they transgress.

I don't think racial insults are called for , there are criminals in all societies , Spanish, Italian, British. I am afraid that you cannot pin down crime to a nationality !
