Thousands of women across Argentina on Sunday gathered at landmarks and public squares to breastfeed their children in solidarity with a San Isidro woman who was reprimanded by local police and threatened with resisting authority for doing just that even though breastfeeding in public is legal. Breast feeding is the real way to feed a nursing baby, not bottle feeding cows milk.

It is vital that the child gets the immune system up and running ASAP and that is supplied by mom's milk as well a food for growing.

What is the matter with the police, or did they just want a bribe?

    Well done the moms!

I can't believe! You are now an expert in the protocol for breast feeding in public in Argentina!

    Wow! What a genius!

I thought you had children? Unfortunately your son, gordo01, seems to be as stupid as you.

So I take it you disagree with my comment, then shame on you.

    Way to go Girls,
    Thanks ChrisR for your support.
Breast feeding is natural & certainly nothing to be covered up.
    lf someone doesn't like it-then don't look.
But why would anyone NOT like to see a mother feeding her child?

You always have prudes in any society and it is The Dark Country after all.

I had to laugh with our daughter- in-law when we Skyped on Sunday. She said of our six week old granddaughter “she's a terror to bath, she clamps her arms to her side and won't let me wash under her arms”.

I just love that child on the far right with his bare feet waving around and he's still looking at his mom! Happy days remembered.

Kudos to Chris' excellent defense of mother's right to breastfeed their babies whenever and wherever they need to, and also to Isolde for confirming he is indeed right.
Traditionally, breastfeeding in public has not been an issue in Argentina, so it's anyone's guess what got these cops to harass Constanza Santos.
The healthy reaction of thousands of moms goes on to show that Argentines know how to jump to the fight when our inevitable share of dinosaurs try to trample on our rights.

All for the perfectly natural act of breastfeeding to be legal in public, but would it be legal for Maxi to do a “bitty” with CFK in public? Scary thought! :-O

Praise from you? Now I AM worried.

I know I am probably going to regret this but what is a 'bitty'?

if it's anything to do with TMBOA's tits it will be impossible, they will be hanging below her knees once she takes her tit sling off.

You guessed correctly. Do a google search for “Little Britain” and “bitty” but not on your work PC... ;-)
