I read in Buenosaires Herald that the Uruguyan foreign minister Rodolfo Ninconpoop Novoa has accuses Brazil of seeking to buy its support against Venezuela.

Brasil probably has offered trade deals to Uruguay to avoid a Venezuelan presidency in Mercosur, but unless one is completely of one's rocker, one does NOT reveal such offers, which is just one of many such deals.

What and how much did Venezuela pay whom to become a member of the trade union?

@3 Chavez funded the Kirchner campaigns.Chavez also bought most of Argentina's considerable debt running into billions. It was all part of his plan to have SoAm countries pay off debts to the IMF and create an equivalent body for SoAm - run by him. It was to give him the ultimate power which was always his goal. So Argentina was hugely indebted to Venezuela and it was CFK who orchestrated the inclusion of Venezuela to Mercosur.

The Brazilian connection is probably along similar lines.

VZ's entry to the Mercosul was indeed engineered by economic and ideological interests between Argentina and VZ, as well as the now virtually impeached fat cow of Brazil.
