Argentina's Lower House left its peers from the Mercosur Parliament, Parlasur, with no allowances, despite claims from most of its 43 members. Last week the Chamber of Deputies approved the Argentine budget which must now be considered by the Senate. Read full article

US$10 million between 43 members? That is about US$230,000 for each of them! It doesn't seem very cost effective. It is also not clear from this article exactly what these “allowances” are.
