“Martín Losteau, who was also economy minister under Cristina Fernandez, ran for Mayor of Buenos Aires last year and lost to the Macrist candidate.”

So he's a loser and a loser and another loser! He must be so proud of this consistency in his career!

Absolutely no mention of this in the Argentine press.
Anyway,he had the balls to stand up to that Kirchner woman, was fired by her because of it and so by my standards, is not a loser.

    @ ChrisR
Economy Minister by the age of 37 and then Ambassador to the US? Yeah, what a loser!

According to Wikipedia, when he was Economy Minister he warned about inflation and proposed gradually reducing the subsidies for energy consumption. He actually sounds kinda reasonable.

Anyway, shouldn't getting fired by CFK be a positive recommendation?

    @ Marti Llazo
Give the poor man time. He's got a wall to build and tariffs to introduce before he starts arresting random Latinos.

    @ DT

    “According to Wikipedia”!

Where on here does he say he got fired by TMBOA?

You do realise that once you took TMBOA Pesos you threw your career away, no self respecting business, especially a multi-national would touch you?

If he was that well thought of he would have beaten the Macri candidate - a woman no less.

The really bad thing about Argentina and Uruguay is their treatment of their women, that is probably why EB pissed off after 'living here' for whatever (we were never told).

And this guy couldn't beat one.

@ ChrisR You are completely obsessed with me, commenting on my in almost ever post you make on here. In discussions I am not involved in. Why do you allow me to live in your mind 24/7? All that anger will eat away at your sanity even more.

BTW I haven't gone anywhere. I still spend 3 - 6 months each year in SoAm.

    @ ChrisR
I was wrong, he resigned due to differences of opinion with Guillermo Moreno, as well as CFK and Néstor.

He doesn't seem to have done too badly afterwards either, considering he was appointed ambassador by Macri. He's written for La Nación since then too, does that not count as a self respecting business?

And I thought you said the really bad thing about Argentina and Uruguay was that they were infested with Marxists? Or was it the 14m scum and thugs in Argentina? Or the 1.4m 'stinking poor' in Uruguay? It's so hard to keep track.

Anyway the article says he was beaten by Horacio Rodríguez Larreta. Doesn't sound like a woman's name to me.
