I would imagine she is worried the longer it goes on the more they will find and the more of her former associates will tell tales.

Bonadio knows that a trial on the dollar futures would set a precedent of judicialization of acts of government.
The judge also knows that a trial would need to take a look at the beneficiaries of the dollar future operation, which would uncover the group Clarin and several members of the current government as beneficiaries of the operation.
In addition, the plan could only yield benefits if the Macri government devaluated the peso as it happened.
Because of those reasons, Bonadio wants to keep the trial open so that it can be used as a tool at any time, depending on the government's needs. The government is monitoring the possibility of CFK running for the Senate and wants to have cards in its sleeve.
In a broader sense, the government is using the judiciary to go after members of the previous government in a bid to keep the public eye focused on the past, while the economy crumbles and the current process of concentration of wealth on the upper layers of society is finalized.

“....would set a precedent of judicialization of acts of government....”

---- No, only the criminal actions, as noted in the complaint

“....The judge also knows that a trial would need to take a look at the beneficiaries of the dollar future ....”

------ Under the law there is no obligation to consider for prosecution those who may have coincidentally benefited, but rather the criminal intent of the accused to cause harm.

“....Bonadio wants to keep the trial open so that it can be used as a tool at any time, depending on the government's needs....”

------This is not a matter of the executive branch but rather the judiciary.

“.....keep the public eye focused on the past,....”

----- For crimes committed in the past. Duh.

    Marti:
“This is not a matter of the executive branch but rather the judiciary.”
    In Macri's Argentina?
