Leaders of the European Union meet on Thursday in Brussels for a summit fraught with disputes on how to handle the many crises they face, bar on possibly the biggest rift of all, how to handle Brexit. After a day of talks on migrants, Turkey, Russia, defense in the era of Donald Trump and the Euro zone economy in the age of austerity, leaders will see British Prime Minister Theresa May out and then agree over dinner how to get rid of her for good. Dec 16th, 2016 - 08:15 am - Link - Report abuse +2The people running the EU have yet to understand that their dream of a European super-state is dead, and that if they don't reduce their tyrannical control over the internal policies of member states, it will all collapse in the next few years. Promotion of trade is good -- trying to create a West-European version of the USSR is not. The peoples of Europe (at least those who can see what's happening) will not tolerate the destruction of their national sovereignty and cultures.
