The United States raised the previous offer for information on ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The reward is now worth US$ 25 million for information that would help locate, arrest or convict him, it was announced in a statement. In October 2011, the State Department offered $10 million for information on Baghdadi through its Rewards for Justice program. Read full article

Dec 19th, 2016 - 10:42 am - Link - Report abuse +1Let that be a warning to friends and even family members of the CIA like Baghdadi, who was spawn by them, educated, trained, nurtured, financed and let loose on the world, now being of no further use, is ready for disposal. They kill their own without reservations, disgusting.

Dec 19th, 2016 - 02:11 pm - Link - Report abuse +3There is no evidence that al-Baghdadi was ever a CIA client or ever worked in a pro-West capacity. Nice conspiracy notion, though, but hardly convincing or creative.
Marti, providing that you're acting in good faith I would recommend to you to become familiar with the information provided by ex CIA/NSA agent Snowden regard. The original Muhajedin movement in Afghanistan, was created by Jimmy Carter as a mean to depose the pro Russian Kabul regime. Reagan increased ten fold funding and support for the Taliban, eventually morphing into Al Qaida, spawning today's ISIS. I can assure you that I don't subscribe to conspiracies or allegations. Look for pictures of Jihadis in the White House with Reagan in the web, they are official pictures. You look to me as the type that will deny global warming also.
Dec 19th, 2016 - 03:41 pm - Link - Report abuse -1scrdmgl, you have your conspiracies all mixed up. The original Muhajedin movement took place when al-Baghdadi was about 8 years old. Contrary to popular opinion, the CIA did not enlist every Arab, Pashto, and Dari speaker who was of that age at the time. Al-Baghdadi was a nobody until about 2003, long the original mujahideen had finished their work in removing the Soviets from Afghanistan. Even subsequent to 2003, when the invasion of Iraq sort of peeved al-Baghdadi, there is no evidence that the CIA or other intel organisation considered him to be anything but just another religious case. The US held him for a few months in 2004, figured he was of no consequence to anyone, and let him loose. But you slide in here and try to tell us this guy who somehow groomed by the CIA to do what? You really need to get back on your space ship.

Dec 19th, 2016 - 06:45 pm - Link - Report abuse -3You are very good at debunking, however, I never linked Baghadi to the original Muhajedin movement (repeat) created by the CIA starting in the seventies when the man was not even born (what are you talking about?). Second, If you wish (probably not) to read about a good conspiracy, non other than Mrs. Clinton on Aug. 2016 admitted that the US created ISIS and Mr. Obama also as recently as Dec 08-2016, also admitted that the US helped to create ISIS. Check the Web under conspiracies to find those two bits of information.. My point is, that the US has been involved in every color revolution and regime change in the last 70 years from Iran in 1953 to Guatemala in 1954, to Irak, Libya, Ukraine, etc., etc. What about Bin Laden who was an ally until he decided to pursue his own agenda?
TODAY as we speak, the US and allies are allegedly bombing ISIS in Irak and Syria, bombing their own children? good Lord, there is no respect not even for family members.
Please write back again to tell me that the above are nothing but old wives tales , if you do, I'll answer, as you wish. What can I say? No problem I'm easy.
Strange symbol you're sporting Marti, looks familiar to me.
scrdmgl, the article is about al-Baghdadi. Try to focus on the subject of the article and proof of your allegation that al-Baghdadi was groomed by the US CIA.
Dec 19th, 2016 - 09:26 pm - Link - Report abuse +3I doubt that you correctly recognise the avatar, or its significance, but I suspect you smell another conspiracy. Try to focus. It has nothing to do with al-Baghdadi.
scrdmgl,
Dec 19th, 2016 - 10:17 pm - Link - Report abuse 0ML is correct, you do jump on the RT conspiracy bandwagon very readily.
Obama did not say that the US created ISIS.
US involvement in the region since WWII may have led to a socio-economic environment that contributed to spawning of groups like ISIS.
I see how half-witted malcontents are easily radicalised
I see that the conspiracy people are claiming that al-Baghdadi is really.... get this....is really a Jewish actor whose real name is Simon Elliot. And he was recruited by nothing less than the Israeli Mossad. I'm still looking for undeniable proof that al-Baghdadi is sponsored by Procter & Gamble.
Dec 19th, 2016 - 10:35 pm - Link - Report abuse +3Some of these folks are claiming that Snowden broke the story about al-Baghdadi working for the Mossad but Snowden's people are saying that is, like, totally garbage.
