It looks like all those wealthy housewives will have to stop relying on their illegal domestics from México, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Perú, Colombia, Ecuador etc etc.

Who cares about a few wealthy housewives? If they really deport millions of people, it's going to have a pretty big effect on the US economy, not to mention the lives of the people concerned.

And I think it's pretty clear the US can't force Mexico to accept nationals of third countries, but can they 'persuade' Mexico to take them? The Mexican government is certainly not going to be in an obliging mood.

Good! Either there are laws and borders, or there are none -- anyone entering any country illegally should be deported (and punished).

Even refugees should be deported and punished? But maybe some would prefer to be in jail in a first world country than sent back to a literal warzone.

Ah, the same old, same old bigots are still amongst us. Notice the style?

What Americans seem to have forgotten is they are pretty much all immigrants or one or two generations away. These new countries are the first to want to pull up the ladder they climbed. They always need to denigrate a part of society to make themselves feel superior. It used to be Catholics, now it is Muslims; it has always been people of colour. Especially in the low paid, low I.Q. states that love Trump so much.

There are legal procedures for processing refugees
applicants and to determine their eligibility.

Just as there is a procedure for legitimate immigrant applications.

Trump is differentiating between Legal Immigrants and those not following prescribed eligibility procedures and requirements.

That being said, I don't like how he is handling it as opposed to Obama.

With the vast numbers involved and the effect on the economy- how practical is his approach?
