Close to 350,000 people in Chile’s capital Santiago and a further two million nationwide took part on Sunday in street protests demanding the replacement of a private pension system imposed under the Pinochet regime, following recommendations from multilateral organisms. Disclaimer & comment rulesGeneral Pinochet tried to give them freedom and prosperity by taking responsibility for themselves, and they're so stupid they don't want it. They would rather trust in lying politicians, and hope someone else takes care of them. They deserve the loss of their freedom and prosperity that socialism will bring them.
