Argentine Finance minister Nicolas Dujovne said on Tuesday that the economy's recovery at the start of the year was based on investment and not in consumption. “It is a heterogeneous recovery, with performance in different sectors: government social expenditure was up 70% but manufacturing was down 80%, mainly because of the Brazilian recession, and domestic contraction”, admitted the minister. Besides much talk by the Macri government about how well exports are going to go and how much the government plans to build civil infrastructure, news have filtered that the Argentine government has been seeking permission from the U.S. to buy them combat aircraft, attack helicopters, tanks, missile launchers and troop transport vehicles for between 2 and 2.5 billion U.S. dollars. At the same time, the Macri government is fighting teachers with the argument there is no money.

    With some original documents in English:

    Countries sharing borders with Argentina are alarmed and have been asking the Macri government where is he planning to use the weapons. Perhaps the U.K. should also ask?

    It's beginning to show the real Cambiemos' priorities.

    Enrique Massot;

    Didn't CFK default on the creditors that loaned Argentina $70b?

    Didn't she force the Security Forces of Argentina to go on strike for lack of wages, resulting in rioting, looting, and public endangerment?

    Does anyone recall the multiple-fatality train wrecks due to a decade of infrastructure neglect by the K's?

    That's not to mention the neglect of the aboriginal people's living in abject poverty, like 1/3 the women and children of Argentina, 11m+ people.

    At the same time, she tried to buy new Grippen fighter jets from Brazil, then used ones from Israel.

    Quite a bit of money was spent on the Malvinas-class Navy ships from Russia.

    You are a hypocrite, Enrique.

    Macri cannot be characterized as being worse than CFK.

    Apart from being a CFK apologist for some reason, you also don't seem to really give a crap for appropriate spending orbthe Argentine people's long term well-being.

    Quoting El Destape, Kamerad/Komrade Rique? Another Kirchnerite propaganda organ? The one that told voters Scioli and “Anibaul” won just before the ballots closed? And what about Navarro announcing that Nisman would not be showing up the next day, 2 HOURS BEFORE HE DIED? Try again mouthpiece, looks like another attempt to shill for Narcokleptocracy on your part...

    Kanye may keep crying on the milk supposedly spilled by Cristina, but the Argentine people are now concerned by what tomorrow is going to bring under the watch of the Macri administration.

    Barely three months into the new year, the optimistic predictions of the “best economic team of the last 50 years” are being pulverized as inflation continues to fester in a stagnant economy, domestic consumption continues to drop and wide-open imports continue to kill local jobs.

    And what the economy minister says? Oh, that “the economy's recovery at the start of the year was based on investment and not in consumption.” Of course--people have to tighten their belts but never mind--recovery is on its way.

    When you come down from your pink cloud make me sign, Kanye.

    Wow Kamerad/Komrade Rique is trying to imply that people are going hungry. Well we already know what Baradel, the head of the BA area teachers union looks like, but it now appears that CFK is also putting on weight. “Don't cry for me Argentina ,” eh?”
