Argentina's official poverty index in the second half of 2016 dropped to 30.3%, an estimated 12.7 million people, from 32.2% in the first half according to the country's stats office Indec. The 30.3% index includes 6.1% of indigence, which is also below the 6.3% of the first half. The drop means that 800.000 people are no longer in the poverty category index. Read full article

Welcome to Macri's happiness world, freshly painted by a “revamped” Indec.

According to Argentina's new Ministry of Truth, it is hereby decreed that the economy is improving—those who doubt will be punished.

The word “recession” is hereby eliminated. Striking teachers are deemed instability agents and their union leader unprotected and liable to popular vindicta.

So Enrique, what do you say about the last two sentences in the article? Are you denying that INDEC under Cristina was told to stop publishing the figures? How brainwashed are you?

Funny thing is, Kamerad /Komrade Rique, when the Indec was truly being manipulated by your “employers,” the claim was that Argentina had a poverty rate at the level of Germany, or later, none at all. I believe I know who the dystopian “Ministry of Truth” was run by, and she's headed for court right now. ;)

Orwell - Animal Farm... Aimed squarely at Communism and like ideologies including Peronism. The porkers pretend to the proles that they are on their side but walk on hind legs and have Rolexes on their trotters whilst shafting all the mugs that believed them. Some of them put on weight because they are all the pies! Sounds familiar. Thanks Reekie for reminding us.

Yeah, even Cristina appears to be putting on weight, just like Baradel. What was he saying about people starving?
