It'll be interesting if the 123 hold 150 bodies.

It'd be interesting if they found the body of Royal Marine Alan Addis...

Hmmm... I'd be surprised if they find the body of Marine Addis... I'd also be surprised if they only find the remains of the Argentines believed to be there and that all of the Argentines believed to be there are there.

BTW, I suggest that some of the Argentine hangers onners who visit Darwin shortly give their cemetery a bit of attention. Not only is is falling apart but it is overgrown and in need of a decent coat of paint. I guess they'll blame us for that also. Can't even look after your own dead but you expect people to believe you'd take our interests into account if you ever got your pinkish hands on our Islands.

Funny you should mention the state of that foreign Cemetery Jo, I hear that the families group that are supposed to take care of it are in a bit of a panic, and may have it all looking spruce for the ICRC by the 19th. Possibly :-)

Yes, Roger, it is quite interesting. The guy who normally looks after the short-term maintenance out there doesn't seem to have done much lately. Maybe he isn't getting paid anymore. A few months ago I noticed four guys (I would guess they were Argentines by the look of them) out there that I didn't know and they were slapping paint all over the place; a real botch job, just painting over the top of flaking, bird shit-stained paint on all the crosses. That was the week before the ICRC advance party visit. They looked really miserable as well; I tried to engage with them but they wouldn't even look up.
