Jun 04th, 2017 - 02:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@EscoSesDoidao I do not know if Thomas Cochrane, 10th Earl of Dundonald was remembered at the British embassy that day; however, May is in Chile is the month of our naval glories and obviously he is remembered the whole month with other heroes that fought for our NAVY. Every year the Chilean navy and ambassador pay tribute to him at Westminster on this month.

The film 'Master and Commander' and other 'Hornblower' things are based on his reaal life exploits, including delivery of independence to various countries. A true Scot.
