Voicey-tinkle will be so disappointed. I hear he doesn't approve of the paint colours or the tea spoons on board.

If she does sail in the South Atlantic , just like her predecessors, she will be sunk 5 times by Hepatia's Tucanos and salvaged 5 times.

She appeared in the Clyde on Monday. I was counting Manx Shearwaters at Troon, when a man asked me if I could see the HMS Q.E. There was poor visibility so the answer was no.
I checked on AIS when I got home and discovered she had come into the Firth early in the morning and had been sailing in circles between Arran and Ardrossan...possibly having a go at the measured mile. However, this was at 0430 and by 0700 she was passing Ailsa Craig and heading into the Irish Sea...I was sound asleep at that time!

I read a report from an American Admiral who had visited the ship during Saxon Warrior and thought the ship was a brilliant design and wished the US Navy could adopt many of it's features. Their problem is that their ships are built on an old hull design and cannot be extensively modified or updated but only enlarged.

Actually 'Air Carrier' is spot on, no planes only carrying Air! Well done David... Meanwhile another practically useless chunk of metal that we cannot afford - two aircraft carriers to bomb terrorists who attack in vans, HS2, Garden Bridge, outragously expensive Nukes, Windmills, various crap Universities teaching the wrong things, and David Willetts etc etc
