    I'm wondering why MP ignores the terrorist attacks and actions of some mapuches organizations in argentine territory. Rio Negro, Neuquen and, today, Córdoba were some of the places where these terrorist attacked argentine citizens....

    Hmm, events in Argentina shouldn't need to be internationally newsworthy to be reported, but on the other hand no one died and it seems like a pretty minor protest. I was wondering why Mercopress hadn't reported the disappearance of Santiago Maldonado.

    No one in Argentina worries about what happens in Europe with the terrorism of fundamentalists or the USA with the problems with mass shooters and far right groups. Those are problems of war away, troubled societies.

    Really? Then why is the first story on Clarín today about how one Argentine was killed and two injured in the attack on Barcelona? In these times of mass tourism and migration, no one's problems are far away.

    I'm referring to the geopolitical ramifications of all those incidents and developments. Of course on a personal level, if you go to other countries you always face the risks of being caught in the problems of those societies. If you go to London, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, Stockholm, Helsinki, Oslo, Brussels, Amsterdam, Manchester, Madrid, Moscow, or any other current war zones, you are obviously at risk. If you go to a country in a quasi-civil war (USA with the daily mass shootings of each other), and the police brutality and now the racial violence, of course you are at risk.

    But on a broader level, we should not worry about those events as Argentine society is advancing at rapid pace and the rest of the world devolves. We will probably intersect in the next 5-10 years and then you will see a mass migration into Argentina again, as it has repeated several times in our history.

    @Tr0lListic_Approach
    “if you go to other countries you always face the risks of being caught in the problems of those societies.”

    Well yeah. We've had headlines recently about a British woman who went into a Favela in Brazil and was shot dead. And since plenty of people from Argentina visit Europe, they have good reason to worry about what happens here.

    “we should not worry about those events as Argentine society is advancing at rapid pace and the rest of the world devolves. We will probably intersect in the next 5-10 years and then you will see a mass migration into Argentina again”

    Yeah, right. And you've got mass migration already, from your poorer neighbours.

    you will see a mass migration into Argentina again”

    Seems a good idea. Within a generation, you will be in a minority and something good may rise in it's place.
