The Commonwealth Games Queens Baton visits all 71 Commonwealth countries and territories on its journey from Buckingham Palace to the host city. In 2018 that is Gold Coast in Australia; one territory is missing from the relay, because it has not been possible to schedule St Helena this year. However several Saints saw and carried the baton in the Falkland Islands, so we have helped a little bit. Read full article

They deserve the right and they have the right to determine how and by whom they are governed by. Common sense really.

WTF has your post got to do with the Article...?
Do you know what it is called when a poster keeps repetitively promoting his drivel on every article relating to the Falklands....?

Quite simply, if RG-land had its way they wouldn't be taking part.

How many times have you repetitively linked to your fantasy drivel...?
.... a desperate attempt at recognition and attention perhaps...?
A real crusader would have kept the alias...
Course there would have been no medal for an alias...

Voicey. There is a lot of fantasy drivel spouted here and almost all of it by Argentines and their supporters. When the peoples of the Commonwealth have finished with the baton, I'm sure that they could be persuaded to tell you to insert it into one of your lower body orifices, preferably sideways, to stem the flow of such drivel from yourself.

You appear familiar with uses for a baton...
Even a preferred way to use them...
I'm guessing yours is a Huge Juan...

    LOL

I don't have any need to hide behind one Voice. Never really did. How about you?

Gob-shite Scottish Nat who refuses to acknowledge he's British? Or are you just visiting?

    :-)

“Gob-shite Scottish Nat who refuses to acknowledge he's British?”

Voice a Scottish Nationalist?! Have you even read any of his posts?

    @Brit Bob
What does it have to do with Venezuela though?

I have. His quality of English suggests that he was brought up here. It doesn't come over as American English so I'm reasonably certain he is native. Whether 100% native is moot. He's certainly not Argentine, as he simply does know enough of the propaganda to have been born to it. He's located in Scotland almost certainly, and the way he refers to the 'British' indicates he is no fan. Disaffected Scot would be my bet on a sweep-stake. Nat seemed most likely, hence my goad.

I think he's most likely British as well, but without an accent who can tell from where? He's never supported the SNP though, and in the elections thread he said he voted tactically to get them out. That's why it sounds ridiculous to say he is one.

Fair enough - I hadn't seen that. I'll store it away for future use.

A fair while ago he said something which placed him in Scotland. Can't remember what now, but you comment about tactical voting would support that. It's of no great importance. We don't get on - you may have noticed.

How long have you been on this forum ! Years ago Voice and I had an acrimonious run-in.
He accused me of being a “wanabee” Brit. or ex-pat. Eventually he accepted that I was Scottish and had a good knowledge of the locality where he lives...having been born there.

I am certain that he lives in the Holy Loch area and could probably pin point his dwelling to within a half mile. If I was really keen, I could probably find his address from persons we mutually have met. However, this I won't do as it is of no great interest to me.

Why he will not reveal his nationality, I can't understand. It just creates doubts as to his possible motives.

From his postings, he is definitely not a supporter of the Scot. Nats.

Clyde, following Demon Tree's comments I have accepted that. Voice's dislike of anything British just made it more likely.

I am/have been on so many forums that I struggle to remember who said what and where - but now that you mention it :-)

Why don't you ask for it back now, it's apparently located just outside Buenos Aires?
