Theresa May will tell EU leaders there is a shared responsibility to make Brexit work “smoothly” as she attempts to break the deadlock in negotiations. In a major speech in Florence on Friday, she will say history will judge Brexit “not for the differences we faced, but for the vision we showed”. Read full article

    At least May is finally showing some kind of leadership. Now we just need the EU to be reasonable, which they don't seem inclined to. If we stay in the Customs Union for two more years, that gives more time to sort out the NI border problem, but being able to arrange new trade deals in that time should be non-negotiable.
