I can understand why puggy has done a runner, after all Spain has no intention of letting it go. They will all be charged with rebellion and sedition. The regime will be after their blood. This is the future of Europe post 2020 that is how the EU will deal with any nation that decides to leave.

The EU's claims that it was formed to prevent the likes of WW2 or fascism occurring, is crap when member countries like Spain have laws like this to prevent freedom of speech. Puggy hasn't aimed an automatic rifle or detonated a bomb and he may well have broken Spanish law, but all he has done is represented freedom of speech and opinion for a large number of Catalans. If the Spanish were smart, they would drop their draconian laws and hold a binding independence in or out referendum in Catalonia, as apparently the majority of Catalans want to remain Spanish. So what's Spain's problem? If Spain's foreign minister had hoped to use a hearts and minds campaign to convince joint sovereignty with Gibraltar, the events in Catalonia and the draconian laws put his assumption down the gurgler as fortunately even B liar and Hain the Vain accepted Gibraltar's referendum result. All that Marijuana Lovejoy has done is sow more seeds of dissent in Catalonia.
