Disclaimer & comment rulesA hugely sad loss for the Conservatives at this time of Brexit wrangling, but the greatest loss for HM Forces and Mrs May's cabinet. A strong and determined pair of hands, whose attention to detail on Falklands issues and defence will not go unnoticed. A good man, with an impressive parliamentary and ministerial track record.
Nov 02nd, 2017 - 09:30 am - Link - Report abuse +1With the sex scandals reported on HMS Vigilant, it would be hard for the Secratary for Defence to keep HIS post when the navy personnel face disciplinary action.
Nov 02nd, 2017 - 10:40 am - Link - Report abuse +1There seem to be other accusations of misconduct in recent times still pending.
From an old fashioned point of view, locking young men and women in a sub. for 60 days ?, is a recipe for disaster. Something is bound to happen. Are we surprised when it does ?
Well..., well..., well...

C'mon... Cmdr. Doveoverdover.... I know you are reading this... ;-)
A sad day indeed , who has not been inappropriate in the past? I have to hold my hand up but then I am not a celebrity or politician. I had sex with a lady some time ago, was it consensual or not is only in the eyes of the lady herself. Depends really if she enjoyed it or not.The world is going crazy.A lady propositioned me 50 years ago, does it bother me NO

Nov 02nd, 2017 - 06:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Golfcronie, I'm probably going to regret asking this, but how can you have sex with someone and not even know if she wanted to do it or not?

“C’mon... Cmdr. Doveoverdover.... I know you are reading this” Just another note to self.
The question is why is this piece appearing in Mercopenguin, a British government propaganda organ supposedly devoted to America, South America and the South Atlantic?

Nov 03rd, 2017 - 03:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Because due to territorial integrity the UK is situated in the Atlantic Ocean and is linked through itself, Bermuda, Gibraltar (not far from the Atlantic), Ascension Island, St Helena, Tristan Da Cunha, The Falkland Islands and South Georgia, all places in the Atlantic, either North or South. There is no concrete wall or landmass, dividing the Atlantic into North and South Atlantic. Argentina has a coast on the Atlantic and so does Cornwall.
Therefore through UK territorial integrity, the Atlantic is linked. therefore that's why a news page based in the South comments on the North.
