On top of hunger affecting millions, shortages of medicines have led to needless deaths as the country goes through an economic crisis. Long supermarket lines and people eating from the trash are common sights.

Jeeeez “We confirmed that the big chains were increasing prices without any justification, because they were doing it for products that were in stock, not new ones” said the idiot.

With inflation at the Venezuelan level the prices must reflect the present cost of restocking or there won't be any articles next week because of lack of money.

Yes, remember when they would adjust prices at the checkout in Argentina when they defaulted and had rampant inflation? Items would increase in price whilst customers were walking through the store. That's what happens when inflation is out of control. The stores cannot absorb the loss.

We just need to help them get over this crisis, and support their people's basic needs, instead of criticizing their Government.
Government's come and go, but the people who remember the world and its countries are stay in the same place. The country. All countries need to treat one another with absolute equality. And nothing makes us more equal than our peoples.

If you suggest that the world treat Venezulea (the largest holder of petroleum reserves) as a welfare case, ask any nation, including Cuba...
The Maduro government has driven the country into a hellhole.
