Brazilian president Michel Temer's latest cabinet reshuffle has not been very encouraging or in accordance with his survival abilities so far. In effect the candidate named as future minister of Labor had to reach a debt payment deal with a driver that provided services to the family, and the politician who will be replacing her in Congress was sentenced for raping minors. Brazil, sounds like a wonderful country to live in if you are a minor, what is wrong with these South American countries? They all seem to be stuck in the 16th Century, corruption on a grand scale, child prostitutes and so on and so forth.Thank God I don't live there anymore.

    @golfcronie

    REF: “sentenced rapist to Congress”:

    Should read as: “Sentenced rapist to a THOROUGHLY Corrupt Congress”

    You are right - even Brazilians prefer not to live in Brazil and quite a few [better educated, more intelligent] of them have already left the country [for good].

    No matter how good and how serious their intentions are; I wonder if all these investigations REALLY can
    #1: punish the corrupt and more importantly,
    #2: manage to receive back ALL the stolen TRILLIONS [which thousands of them have been stealing - regularly and repeatedly - for nearly twenty five or so years]!

    Temer's choice of the future (probably not-to-be) Labour Minister, and his insistence (in order to consolidate votes in favour of the reform of the pension system), is lamentable. Besides being the daughter of one of those condemned (in 2012) in the PT''s “mensalão” corruption scheme , which in itself does not NECESSARILY incriminate her - but it does, as she has followed in her father's footsteps ; If even in simple cases like labour relationships, she breaks the Law and has been condemned twice, and STILL does not comply with the court's decision, what to expect of her when she is given a millionaire budget to administer ? The fact she dresses, looks like and speaks like a cheap whore, does nothing for her....the sad side of all this, is that one concludes that there is virtually no one in Congress that is not a thief, or one in the making, and fit to be appointed to a ministerial position ; “Que situação de me**a !”

    @JB:
    REF: “......................and STILL does not comply with the court's decision”:

    That's easy to justify:
    - The law is the same
    - Its interpretation by the Powerful-Corrupt is - justifiably [made palatable for the masses] - quite different! REF:
