Hungarian born billionaire investor George Soros has criticised tech “monopolies” such as Facebook and Google, calling them a threat to democracy. At his annual dinner at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Soros warned that social media platforms were “obstacles to innovation”. Read full article

What he means is the lack of socialist control over these channels of communication is a bad thing.

When only socialists control communication then only the “good” messages would be allowed. And that would be “good” for democracy.
