Argentina has bought five modernized Super Etendard fighter jets from the French National Navy for 12.6 million Euros (US$ 15.1 million). The agreement of the operation between both countries is established as one of the forms of cooperation, says Official Gazette. Read full article

May 12th, 2018 - 02:55 pm - Link - Report abuse +1The French have insisted that a purchase involve the actual payment of the full amount agreed to, and Argentina, unsurprisingly, has not managed to come up with the tiny bit of money requested, being unfamiliar with the concept. All that has been done is an agreement to purchase, not unlike a number of similarly ephemeral, baseless, and ultimately abandoned agreements in the recent past.

Argentina is like that embarrassing in-law every family has. They keep talking loudly at parties and family gatherings about their latest investment ideas and plans to buy a bigger house, even in the presence of the head of the family who quietly sits there with the knowledge that he doesn’t have two sticks to rub together and still owes him £8,000 after the last debacle.
