    Deja vu all over again @ 100 years.

    Crystal ball says: Regional warlords will supplant DF as governing authority.

    Good times.

    How far away are $0.03 pesos?

    The Mexican people have spoken and boy did they deliver.

    Now, the challenges for newly-elected president Lopez Obrador to solve endemic violence, corruption and narcotraffic that run amok through this 125-million-strong population will be enormous.

    However, for the first time in decades, there is hope, and Mexicans have certainly set clear direction for the new government.

    It's all now on the shoulders of a man who, as mayor of Mexico City delivered the goods and left with high approval rates. All members of both chambers have been elected, and Lopez Obrador is certain to have majority in the lower chamber and and perhaps even in the upper.

    There are concerns for the personal safety of Lopez Obrador, especially during the long transition period until Dec. 1 Inauguration Day.

    Let's cross our fingers for the Mexican people.

    A good change for Mexico. I hope that many of the changes get implemented.

    Will have a good chance to see when I spend 3 months in Mexico for my summer break!

    @TF

    Obviously, if the elected president isn't a US puppet, then he must necessarily be the other block's puppet...oh my!! Just remembered the Cold War ended 29 years ago.

    But if the US president is also the other block's puppet, then it all comes back to Putin anyway...
