In a letter to Brazilian Ambassador in Washington Sergio Silva do Amaral, 29 members of the United States Congress voiced their concerns about “an intensifying assault on democracy and human rights in Brazil,” particularly the incarceration of former president Lula da Silva and the assassination of Rio de Janeiro city councilor Marielle Franco. Absolutely no surprise, especially after seeing the idiots who signed it. If they had kept their focus on Marielle and the hundreds of other victims in Rio, fine....but to include Lula as a victim of political persecution borders on ignorance......
Why doesn't this irrelevant little group concentrate its attention on cleaning up the mess (they contributed to) in the US before trying to dictate rules to Brazil ?
