A pitiful minister trying to justify the unjustifiable.

Consider that the government presided by Mauricio Macri ran its campaign partly on the previous government's incapacity to reduce an inflation if about 25 per cent and promised Argentines to end it in a very short time.

“Inflation, that's the easy thing to do,” said Macri, adding that he wanted to be judged on his ability to reach that goal.

Almost three years later, a period during which every single economic indicator got worse, Macri has resorted to blame everything but himself for the present mess that includes getting last-resort help from the IMF to extend the government's survival.

A sad end for the parroted “best government team of the last 50 years.”
