Most marriages start with a honeymoon....which is no guarantee it'll last...but what would you prefer ? the guarantee of continuation of 'lulopetismo', with puppet Haddad, and Lula a free man, to start the chaos all over again ?
I understand your skepticism after 14 (+2) years of shit, but I think it's high-time you started to think a bit less pessimistically....

I'm I am dying to be an optimist - believe it or not!

If one thinks that politicians are spending millions of US$ and fighting bitterly to grab power - for years - because they are patriots; think again!

If one yearns to be a politician; it's to steal public money.

At the end of each election result; the people jump with joy. Those who are bursting crackers today, they did exactly the same - election after election - to cheer Sarne, FHC, Collor, Maluf, Garotinho, Lula, just to name a few [out of too many] other crooks!

In any case; what really matters the most;- the Bare Minimum - is:
: Lowest possible [much less than 2-digit] unemployment
    : USD = steadily below R$ 3

the political class does not fool me....most are corrupt pigs....but, in 2002, I did not vote for the PT - never have, never will - but after Lula “apaziguad” society with his open letter , weren't people a little less pessimistic, and ready to give him a chance ? the fact he fucked things up, stole billions, all but bankrupteded PB, is history...and the SOB is in jail, paying for his crimes....but don't you think that Bolsonaro, having to a certain extent, broken away from the “old politics”, deserve a vote of confidence ? if after a couple years - the minumum, I expect, - needed to get Brazil back in the right direction, his policies are making things worse, then I'll have to resign myself to the fact that I should be able to turn things around in Oct 2022...but not with the PT, because anyone with half-a-brain knows what the PT wants. Pessimism gets you nowhere....and makes you unhappy !!!

REF: “Pessimism gets you nowhere....makes you unhappy”:

    True!

The problem: Our tunnel is practically unending + the faint light at the end of it has a small chance of brightening.
