    Marxist-Leninists are running scared...really scared...
If Bolsonaro is able to turn the economy around, reduce corruption and crime, it will result in an enormous nightmare for the Socialist-Marxist-Leninist movement.

And worse, their nightmare was freely democratically elected by the people. Watching O Globo news last night was amazing.

Hopefully one day Mr. Mujica will learn to keep his mouth shut for the good of Uruguay. Perhaps he should be guided by a spanish frase which freely translated says“ put your brain to work before putting your tongue into action” or say “pon tu celebro en funcionamiento antes que tu lengua en movimiento”.

This complete lack of respect to the winner of the elections doesn't help in the very least to the good econonomical and deplomatic relationships between Uruguay and Brazil, the latter being one of the most important trading countries on whom Uruguay depends for a substantial percentage of their international trade.

“their nightmare was freely democratically elected by the people”

I suppose you would say the same to the Jews in Germany, Chicureo?

And I thought better of you, TV. Are you a BNP voter too?

“...I suppose you would say the same to the Jews in Germany, Chicureo?”

Frankly, you sincerely need to re-think about what you just posted...

...I know for a fact that you are too intelligent to compare the election of Bolsonaro to the despicable German National Socialist Party of the previous century. Despite your clear leanings towards a more liberal ideology, I have always appreciated your thoughtful posts, despite being in complete disagreement.

I would never support an anti-Semite, much less celebrate their victory.

    Nice construction, MP:

“Latam leaders congratulate Brazilian people and Bolsonaro; Uruguay ex president Mujica compares him with Hitler.”

The MP editor has apparently never learned to compare apples to apples.

Latin American presidents are bound by state duty to congratulate the winner of an election.

Pepe Mujica is not a president anymore, and therefore freely speaks his mind. And speak he did!

Now, about Chicureo, it's so funny to read his postings. He is really wetting himself. Let's take a look at one of his cheerful sentences:

“If Bolsonaro is able to turn the economy around, reduce corruption and crime, it will result in an enormous nightmare for the Socialist-Marxist-Leninist movement.”

    Nice.

If Bolsonaro were able to turn the economy around, reduce corruption and crime, then he would be a progressive leader and would deserve recognition from all, including Chicureo's legendary “Socialist-Marxist-Leninist” boogeyman.

Unfortunately, not rightist power has ever resulted in the wellbeing of the Latin American peoples.

Hey, we would do well if at the very least we could develop some real, productivity-oriented capitalism in Latin America instead of our dysfunctional pre-capitalist, semi-feudal economies.

Watching the CNN and BBC newsfeed last night was really entertaining for two reasons:
    1) Listening to members of the “cult of diversity” call the citizens of the largest South American country stupid.
    2) Watching the “defenders of democracy” push to overturn the results of a fair democratic election.

You'd obviously expect Lula's idiot Marxist brother, Pepe Mujica, compare Bolsonaro with Hitler. The election success has driven all the Marxist-Leninist ideologues like yourself stark raving mad because none of you want conservative leaders to succeed. Much less to be freely elected... I truly understand your hurt...

You say: “...If Bolsonaro were able to turn the economy around, reduce corruption and crime, then he would be a progressive leader and would deserve recognition from all...” Let's see what happens - and then of course decide if the majority of the Brazilian people approve. IF he violates the Brazilian constitution, I would imagine the checks and balances of the law would react accordingly. (Ask your friend Dilma about what she thinks about this process...)

Another silly comment you make is: “Unfortunately, not rightist power has ever resulted in the wellbeing of the Latin American peoples.” So my President Piñera has not been responsible for working towards the wellbeing of Chileans? What about Colombia?

And let's talk about what the Latin American people think about your ideology of Marxist-Leninist-Socialisim shall we? Wait, ...didn't the fourth largest democracy just rejected the PT yesterday? (An interesting side note: we also have here in Chile a “Partido de Trabajadores Revolucionarios” ONLY they insist that they are “Trotskistas” and NOT Communists...)

So how is Democracy thriving in Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua...? Tell us all about the success stories of your revolutionary Marxist-Leninist Latin America. Name one?

    ...Really just one...

So if Bolsonaro had admitted hating Jewish people - even if he didn't intend to do anything about it - you wouldn't be celebrating his victory now?

”IF he violates the Brazilian constitution, I would imagine the checks and balances of the law would react accordingly. (Ask your friend Dilma about what she thinks about this process...)”

Is that supposed to be a joke? I'm sure you're smart enough to know why Dilma was really impeached.

What has the BNP have to do with anything? My thought is wait and see what Bolsonaro actually does and judge him on that. A corrupt country wracked by violence needs sorting.

Now that is much more reasonable. What you said was like comparing Marine Le Pen to the Tories and saying both will deliver sensible politics, and that's beside the fact that Macri's 'sensible' policies have nearly bankrupted Argentina.

“The Brazilian Senate voted 61–20 to impeach Dilma Rousseff guilty of breaking budgetary laws and removing her from office.” Did I miss something?

FYI Brazil has the 7th largest Jewish population in the world. Bolsonaro is pro-Israel and is anticipated to move Brazil's embassy to Jerusalem. (By the way, my pro-Bolsonaro friend in Recife is Jewish.)

The Brazilian Senate consisted of 65% alleged law-breakers.

They could have been alleged law breaking monkey Senators... They still voted to impeach Dilma. Just what percentage of the Brazilian political class are corrupt? Probably about 65% or more. You make no intelligent argument.

    “Did I miss something?”

Apparently so. A bunch of crooks voted to impeach Dilma because they didn't like the way she was running the economy and they worried the corruption investigations were getting a little too close to home. It was nothing to do with the 'checks and balances of the law' and everything to do with political expediency.

    “Bolsonaro is pro-Israel”

So what? You think it's fine to hate liberals, women and gays, but hating Jews would be a step too far?

Argentina's present financial troubles have little to do with Macri's policies. More to do with high interest rates in the US. Why keep your money in a place with a bad record of financial instability when somewhere with a good record is matching the rates? Its where Rekie and Nostrils are keeping theirs…

A revolution by the people, for the people is about to begin.

Unemployment is at over13%, crime is at its record high! the economy is in a recession. What do the people of Brazil have to lose?

Argentina's troubles have much to do with Macri's policies. He borrowed billions - in dollars - yet failed to get the economy growing. That is why Argentina is deep in the shit today and had to turn to the IMF, while Uruguay, still run by the socialists, is doing fine.

    @Chicureo

I ignored your question as I thought it was ridiculous. Brazilians have right to dislike any people, including Jews, but they would be absolutely wrong to violate their human rights. I assume Bolsonaro detests both liberals and homosexuals, but I do not think he's going to violate Brazilian laws protecting them.

There is an old children's story with the line: “The sky is falling...the sky is falling...”

Means construction of more churches and more power to the church leaders. A day may not be too far off; when one needs to be a “Church-Goer” - a fiel - to obtain any kind of official permits, better opportunity, etc.
