The Argentine Military Cemetery is not at, or in, Darwin. It is not even visible from Darwin which is about 5 miles away.

True. Darwin happens to be the closest settlement to the Argie military cemetery and the land belonged to Darwin Harbour farm. There is a local cemetery even closer to Darwin which is properly known as Darwin Cemetery.

“the significance of separating politics from the right of a soldier who puts on his country's uniform and dies in battle under orders, to a decent final resting place, regardless of the colour of his uniform”

Supposed to be a quiet nip in and out. Since when did a gun salute, a Piper (according to Infobae - “Knock, knock, knock , the boots of the Scottish Guard sound on the perimeter of Darwin's cemetery. Dressed in their dress uniforms, seven British soldiers raise their weapons and pay homage. The long and sad notes of a bagpipe cross the tears and prayers of the families of the fallen. Two real bagpipers interpret the lament.”), and a Trumpet get involved?

According to MLA Leona Roberts on Facebook no flag of any description was supposed to be on display so it seems unlikely that the musicians and gunners from MPA were approved.

While Mr. Ambassador Mark Kent is taking the credit, someone is taking the Michael.

MLAs like so many polticians have short memories- Several time sn the last 5-8 years they have been asked- pleaded with by upset Islands to make it illegal to display the Arg flag anywhere in the islands as it is a country that remains active in trying to take us over.
Every time they weasled out with a string of excuses.

Champions of the people seem to turn into weasels five minutes after getting voted in. Same in the UK. Open Government is some kind of fairy story.
