The Falkland Islands Executive Council on Wednesday approved a formal procurement process to issue an Invitation to Tender (ITT) to the global construction market to select and appoint a preferred development partner for the design, construction and potentially the operation of a new port facility. Disclaimer & comment rulesbig but not nearly as big as mpc which included a new deep water port. lessons can be learned from that project in particular the short time allowed (around 6 months) for public consultation and the tender and contract award process. it's most likely that in 6 months or even 6 years time talk will be as far as this new port project has reached.

1) There ain't no commercial oil nowhere in them windblown Isles...
2) There is a looming 50% Eurotax on the ram meat from them windblown Isles...
3) There is a looming 20% Eurotax on the pirated Illex Argentinus from them windblown Isles...
..., the FIG(leaf) is being wise in giving careful consideration to the true infrastructure needs of just about 3,000 souls...
