I wouldn't buy her book, or anything else she's selling, even if my life depended on it. The woman is pure corruption. She and her cohorts have finished sinking a once very prosperous country.

Can anybody imagine Mauricio Macri compiling his speeches -- abroad or elsewhere?

No sir -- nobody can. Macri's speeches are not printable. The man is utterly incapable of making sense, nor does he try.

Cristina, on the other hand, has the stature of the position she occupied, is able to speak without a script, and make lots of sense.

According to Wikipedia, CFK's government ”implemented measures such as the application of universal allocation per child, the re-nationalization of pension funds, the Conectar Igualdad program (five million notebooks distributed to students), budget increase for science and research, a new media law and the broadening of LGBT rights, including same-sex marriage and the Gender Identity Law.

“According to the World Bank, the middle class doubled in Argentina during CFK term.

”She also carried out policies in pursuit of human rights, such as the trials of military personnel involved in the Dirty War that lead to more than 500 people sentenced, and 1,000 convicted, in a process that was unprecedented in Latin America.“

No wonder she also made enemies, who do their best to ignore her achievements, throwing mud and accusing her of ”corruption.“

It's worth noting that, almost four years after the end of her term, with prosecutors searching high and low, no a shred of evidence of Cristina's much parroted ”corruption” has turned out. However, when searching off-shore havens, they found a wealth of accounts belonging to Macri and family...none belonging to CFK.

Of course, had she stolen 1/10 of what some claim, she would be enjoying it somewhere else in the world. Instead, she is defying insults, threats and real risks in a bid to serve her people again.

    Let them bark, Sancho.

    “Jlt” (recycled nick of whom)?

”The woman (CFK) is pure corruption.”

Say, jlt: Did ever crossed your mind that, for almost four years, the Macri government has had a team of prosecutors and judges headed by militant Claudio Bonadio looking at all avenues to find proof of CFK's corruption?

Four years! And they failed miserably to find a single shred of evidence even after conducting search warrants, bulldozing large tracks of land looking for buried treasures...

Hey, they even took a criminal out of jail (Leonardo Fariña) and are keeping him in a cozy place so that he would give testimony against CFK...unfortunately the whole scheme is now falling apart.

No matter. Clarín and La Nación are still talking about the “K” corruption, or “The route of the K money.”

And so are some MP posters.

    Hard to shed, the prejudice.

I wonder if someone could do a reality check on this book and count the proportion of promises made that CFK actually delivered on?

As someone recently said “...won an election based on a pile of cheap lies and false promises, ... keep conning the electors with promises of a heaven of wellness that some day – in a nebulous future – ... And what are the Argentines now saying? “Fool me once, shame on you – fool me twice, shame on me.” ” ;-)

Disoriented Zaphod wants somebody to check CFK's book looking for unfulfilled promises.

Sorry, Zaphod. Wrong place. The book is about foreign policy -- not a campaign platform booklet.

    But don't be discouraged.

    Keep trying.

    EM,

“Disoriented Zaphod wants somebody to check CFK's book looking for unfulfilled promises. Sorry, Zaphod. Wrong place. The book is about foreign policy”

It doesn't matter, the same argument applies. Does she provide examples of how successful her foreign policy was? Apparently not, given your response.

    “ -- not a campaign platform booklet.”

And yet she is critical of Macri's foreign policy so it IS a campaign platform booklet.

Why a book on her foreign policy but not her internal policy?

    But don't be discouraged.

    Keep trying.
