    Good for Brazilians!

They don't need criminal initiatives imitating the disastrous situation that is making the U.S. a champion for gun massacres among developed countries.

Citizens' rejection underscores the shoot-from-the-hip politics of disgraceful Bolsonaro, a president who got his title only because of one of the most shameful-ever election manipulations.

“Bolsonaro is also under heavy criticism for his plan to name his son, federal representative Eduardo Bolsonaro, to head the Brazilian embassy in Washington.”

Not only that, but one of Bolso's allies has put forward a constitutional amendment to allow Eddy to keep his job in congress at the same time as being ambassador. One gravy train at a time just isn't enough for this family.

Mind you, if the ambassador's only job was to suck up to Trump and family, he'd probably be a perfect choice...

Report: Prosecutors Hid Evidence In Ted Stevens Case
An extraordinary special investigation by a federal judge has concluded that two Justice Department prosecutors intentionally hid evidence in the case against Sen. Ted Stevens, one of the biggest political corruption cases in recent history.
A blistering report released Thursday found that the government team concealed documents that would have helped the late Stevens, a longtime Republican senator from Alaska, defend himself against false-statements charges in 2008.
The 500-page report by investigator Henry F. Schuelke III shook the legal community, as law professors described it as a milestone in the history of prosecutorial misconduct.
Brendan Sullivan, who defended the senator, had plenty to say.
“The extent of the corruption is shocking,” Sullivan says. “It's the worst misconduct we've seen in a generation by prosecutors at the Department of Justice.”
For instance, the report says the Justice team argued to the jury that Stevens, who served the state of Alaska for 40 years, accepted pricey renovations to his Alaska chalet from oil services company executive Bill Allen.

    Very upsetting & Shameful indeed!

But the situation in Brazil isn't at all THAT bad! Except maybe, a rare incident [bad luck actually] of trying to smuggle 39Kgs of cocaine (vanished into thin air!) worth more than US$ 2'000'000 - AND ALSO:

New Leaks Cite Supreme Court Justice's Dinner With Moro and Dallagnol

The third instance Luis Barroso held a private dinner of “utmost discretion” with the judge and the prosecutor of the Lava Jato.

    By lolanda Fonseca -July 17,2019
RIO,- On Tuesday, July 16th, journalist Reinaldo Azevedo released new conversations between former judge Sérgio Moro and prosecutor Deltan Dallagnol on his radio show BandNews.
According to the disclosed content, Federal Supreme Court (STF) Justice Luis Barroso, had invited Moro and Dallagnol to a dinner, which was held on August 9th, 2016.
Azevedo's report, features a message written by Barroso and forwarded by Dallagnol to Moro.
In the invitation, the STF justice asks for “utmost discretion” regarding the meeting and writes: “As far as possible, we wish to keep it as a private and discreet event.”
The meeting was allegedly held to celebrate the participation of Barroso, Moro and Dallagnol in the event “Democracy, Corruption, and Justice: Dialogues for a Better Country”, which took place at the Centro Universitário de Brasília (UniCEUB) and broadcast on the Internet.
According to the report, the Supreme Court Justice, a member of the panel where part of the Lava Jato cases are being processed, was aware that a private dinner with the prosecutor and the judge would not be well regarded by the public.
The leaked conversations further corroborate known facts, which would serve to attest to the authenticity of the contents obtained by The Intercept.
In addition to dealing with an event that took place in Brasilia, the reported material also contains a message exchange on Dallagnol's interview with Jô Soares, from TV Globo.
The efforts to be well regarded seemed to have been successful for someone who was already planning to profit by giving lectures.

“GRAVE CONCERNS that a major corruption scandal involving Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s son, federal Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, might be shielded from serious investigative scrutiny by Bolsonaro’s powerful Justice Minister Sergio Moro were expressed in secret chats involving Moro’s long-time ally, Deltan Dallagnol, the chief prosecutor of the anti-corruption Car Wash investigation.
The specific scandal involving Bolsonaro’s son erupted almost as soon as his father was elected President, ... agency responsible for detecting unusual movements of money on the part of politicians found more than R $1.5 million in transfers and deposits by Flávio Bolsonaro’s long-time driver, Fabricio Queiroz, most of which ended up in Flávio’s account and at least one of which ended up in the account of President Bolsonaro’s wife, Michelle. ... The scandal became even more serious when Queiroz’s substantial connections to the country’s most violent and dangerous para-military gangs were revealed, and even worse, when it was revealed that Flávio himself employed in his cabinet while he was a state representative both the mother and wife of one of Rio de Janeiro’s most wanted para-military leaders.”

Moro Interfered in A Lava Jato Whistleblower Agreement
Private messages exchanged by Lava Jato prosecutors in 2015 show that then-federal judge Sergio Moro interfered in the whistleblower negotiations two construction company executives.
The messages, obtained by The Intercept Brazil and examined by Folha and the site, reveal that Moro advised prosecutors that he would only approve the allegations if the sentence proposed for the executives included at least one year in prison.
The 2013 Criminal Laws Act, which defined rules for whistleblower agreements, says judges must stay away from negotiations with informers and are only required to verify their legality after signing.
“As a judge, there was no participation in the negotiation of any cooperation agreement,” Moro, the current Justice Minister, said in a statement.
