Disclaimer & comment rulesWhat an advert for awful British governance! This bye-election was held because the sitting MP, Chris Davies, had cheated on his expense claims. Nevertheless, the Conservative Party allowed him to stand again as its candidate - in most countries he would have been debarred from standing again for political office because of the proven corruption charge.
