Argentina and the Falkland Islands will be involved in a scientific assessment cruise of Southern Bluewitting stocks beginning next 9 September. The cruise, the second this year, will take place in the Argentine state of the art scientific vessel “Victor Angelescu”, belonging to the Mar del Plata based Fisheries Investigation and Development Institute, INIDEP. The British should allow this Argentine ship into their waters but keep a close eye upon it. We all know the Argentine has a habit of suprise attacks on friendly neighbours. Meanwhile perhaps these academics will learn something about proper science from the Falkland Islanders.
