Beware! Mr Corbyn and his pals are likely to very understanding of the Argentine position and would be happy to hand the islands back to their ' rightful owners”.
Alicia Castro said regarding Corbyn: In the end, he is one of 'ours'. Even today, when he comes to our embassy, he arrives with the same bicycle and the same enthusiasm. He is a friendly person with a sense humour, who knows how to listen. Alicia Castro, former Argentinian ambassador quoted in Daily Telegraph 14 Sept 2015.
Spot on ! He has listened to Chavez, Putin, Hezbollah, The IRA, ETA, Taliban, etc. You name them Jeremy has listened to them. One of his regrets, I'm sure, is that he never had the chance to listen to Osama Bin Laden. Great talker, great listener, not so good at actually doing anything though.
from a Socialist perspective there is absolutely no argument for handing the Islands over to another country against the wishes of the occupants. Jf anyone does try to make an argument for Argentina being the rightful owner then this is a purely infantile interpretation of history, and a completely erroneous one at that. It does pose some difficult issues in that given the Argentine government's position then the ideal option of independence is a non-starter. On the point of listening, I would rather that more rather than less listening occurred across the world, rather than interpretation based on presumption. To listen does not mean one has to agree, though it does help to understand one's opponents.
