A shortage of Catholic priests in the Amazon is eroding the church's influence in the remote region, bishops in Brazil and Peru warn, ahead of a Vatican synod dedicated to the rainforest. RIO (Reuters) - Between 10 and 20 Brazilian police officers swept into a hospital in Rio de Janeiro and demanded doctors hand over a bullet that allegedly killed an 8-year-old girl during a police operation, a domestic magazine reported on Thursday.
The military police officers raided the Getulio Vargas hospital around dawn on Sept. 21, a Saturday, just hours after Agatha Felix was killed in the city's poor Alemao district. According to bystanders, Felix was shot during a police raid, when a police officer mistakenly shot her while aiming at a motorcyclist. She died later in hospital.
Veja reported that doctors refused to give the officers the bullet and now fear reprisals.

It matters not a jot, as the evidence of the witnesses tells of their appalling indifference towards the general populace.
If nothing is done then it is a further indication of a corrupt legal system as “Justice delayed, is justice denied” is a legal maxim meaning that if legal redress is available for a party that has suffered some injury, but is not forthcoming in a timely fashion, it is effectively the same as having no redress at all. Magna Carta of 1215, clause 40 of which reads, ”To no one will we sell, to no one will we refuse or delay, right or justice.

And yet, hardly anyone is ever going to be severely punished or pay for their crimes + to hell with the evidence, witnesses, etc.
