Chile´s government extended a state of emergency to cities in its north and south after at least eight people died amid violent clashes and arson attacks over the weekend, the interior minister said on Sunday night. Read full article

    Again the chaos and mindless vandalism continues after a strict curfew (20:000-06:00) limited business activity and again another curfew tonight. Anarchy has sucessfully nearly paralyzed Santiago's transit system and severely destroyed property. Tear gas and water-cannons have had only limited effect. Another curfew again tonight. This is far worse than the 2010 earthquake!
