The United States expects Argentina’s incoming Peronist government to uphold the country’s commitment to the terms of its US$ 57 billion International Monetary Fund loan program, U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said. Read full article
Steven Mnuchin, (who btw has a stunning bride) is one of the most vicious attack dogs of Trump, who is devoutly faithful to the Golden Rule (Those who control the gold, make the rules...) Argentina has incredible riches and potential, but it's credit rating places them at the mercy of the credit centers outside their control.
Really? I thought he was US treasury secretary. If he's been in Trump's government since 2018 he's probably due to be fired soon. And what's his wife got to do with anything?
He officially is and the media would love to convince he'll have to resign. Of course, they've been predicting Trump will be forced to leave as well...
Steve's new wife is a stunning blonde, his 2nd wife.
I'm convinced he'll voluntary leave the Whitehouse on February 2025.
All I know is that there is no successor to Trump and his third wife is drop dead gorgeous. All he has to do is stay out of wars and keep the economy booming.
Of course, the IMF was instructed by Donald Trump to grant its largest-ever loan to a government with demonstrated incapacity to manage the Argentine economy beside borrowing like there was not tomorrow till spooked private investors shut the taps.
Now, the ”United States expects Argentina’s incoming Peronist government to uphold the country’s commitment (to pay the money back).”
The money lent to Argentina was supposed to support Macri's re-election -- too bad it didn't work. However, after Dec. 10 expect to hear the wailing when Alberto Fernandez asks the IMF to share responsibility for lending a record amount to the Casa Rosada's worst oil snake salesman in history.

You miss his strategy. He is very friendly to countries that are helpful to his one sided nationalism. He is absolutely brutal to countries that get in his way. I believe he'd do the same even to the EU. He's already repeatedly threatened to do so.
The only bright spot for Argentina is that Trump despises Paul Singer...
Hardly. The UK could certainly be helpful thanks to Brexit, but all Trump's done is repeatedly embarrass the leaders who are trying to deliver it. Any success of the Brexit party in the election will come at the direct expense of the Tories, which can only lead to yet more delays.
Besides, what Radoslaw Sikorski said about America is still true, no matter who's in the Whitehouse.
I had to google the distinguished gentleman. Are you referring to: Sikorski was reported to have said: The Polish-American alliance is worthless. It is even harmful because it creates a false sense of security for Poland.[92] In the fragment of the record Sikorski said: We're going to antagonize Germany and Russia, and they will think that everything is ok because we have given a blowjob to the Americans. Losers. Total losers.
???
Latest Polish/American relations actually seem to be vastly improving.
Yup, that's the one. Their relations are good, but Trump would be about as willing to defend them as he was the Kurds. There's only one country he's reliably friendly to.
