And thus begins Bolsonaro's crackdown on civil society. Expect LGBT activists and feminists to become his next targets. But, because Bolsonaro is a right-winger and not a leftist, and he defends the interests of corporations and not that of poor people, don't expect him to be described on the pages of the NYT as a “strongman” like Morales was.
