Where are now the crowds of fierce MP keyboard warriors who piled up comments on Argentine poverty statistics at the time Cristina Kirchner was president?
They are nowhere to be seen now that their hero, Mauricio Macri, is trotting into the sunset leaving behind an economy in ruins.
HaHa,It was already in ruins when Macri took office. Thats the trouble with left wing governments they had left the pot empty. Thank God I do not live in Argentina.No-one said Macri was a hero but at least he tried to balance the books,lets give Fernandez a year and we can then reflect on his governance.
Good for Agustin Silva of the UCA's Social Debt Observatory for proposing a Redistribution Social Plan using 2.9 per cent of Argentina's GDP to help provide jobs to an estimate four million citizens over five years. Initiatives like this one or similar are likely to resonate with upcoming president Alberto Fernandez, who intends to make a 180-degree turn from the current government's policies that in four years managed to increase poverty by 10 per cent.
