A voracious fire in the Chilean city of Valparaíso began on Tuesday and extended until after Christmas Eve on Wednesday, leaving about 245 homes destroyed, 2000 people without power and a dozen injured. The authorities believe that the fires in the tourist city were intentional. Read full article

Nice to see though Minister Blumel sooo eager to immediately help the victims and pay for the reconstruction of their homes...

A positive development from some months ago..., when the previous Minister would have said that such was NOT a Shilean State nor a Shilean Tax Payer's problem or responsibility...
It is the sole responsibility of the Private Home Owners to take a Private Fire Insurance for such eventualities...
