“Caring for Argentina’s most vulnerable...addressing the country’s difficult economic situation has been at the top of President Alberto Fernández’s priorities... noted IMF's managing director Kristalina Georgieva.
“...a substantial debt relief from Argentina’s private creditors will be needed...we look forward to a collaborative process of engagement between Argentina and its private creditors...
“...our priority is...to pave the way for a stable and prosperous economy that can create jobs and raise living standards for the benefit of all Argentines,” Georgieva added.
While much work remains ahead, this is a very good platform to start discussions.
We did not like a bit Mme. Lagarde, but we may have more esteem for Ms. Georgieva.
