Changes in the Falkland Islands government. The Executive Council this week agreed to seek a temporary change to the constitution, allowing the eight member Legislative Assembly to sit remotely.

In current circumstances, the reasons for the change are obvious and anticipate any potential sanitary condition.

Given the sanitary emergency situation the Executive Council meets regularly to consider response and other policies related to the COVID-19 pandemics.

MLAs are also meeting regularly to consider COVID19 related matters.

However regular portfolio and other meetings are postponed until mid-April 2020. (PN)
